Refund & Cancellation Policy

AstroGully is a sole proprietorship operating under Indian consumer protection law. This policy explains when and how you can request refunds for credit pack purchases.

Summary

In plain terms: If you've consumed credits to generate AI analysis, those credits are not refundable — the cost to us is already incurred. If you have unused credits and want a refund within 7 days of purchase, we will refund the unconsumed portion to your original payment method, minus Razorpay's non-refundable processing fee.

1. When Refunds Are Available

You may request a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

Unconsumed Credits (within 7 days)

If you purchased a credit pack within the last 7 days and have not consumed any credits from that purchase, we will refund the full amount minus Razorpay's non-refundable processing fee (approximately 2% + 18% GST = ~2.36% of the transaction value).

Partially Consumed Credits (within 7 days)

If you've consumed some but not all credits from a pack purchased within the last 7 days, we will refund the pro-rata value of your unconsumed credits, less Razorpay's processing fee. The conversion: unused credits × (pack price / total pack credits) = refund amount (before fees).

Technical Failure

If you were charged and credits did not appear in your account within 15 minutes of payment, contact us immediately. We will either manually add the credits or issue a full refund. This happens rarely but we take it seriously.

Duplicate Charges

If you were charged twice for the same transaction, the duplicate will be refunded in full within 2 business days of us being notified.

2. When Refunds Are NOT Available

  • Consumed credits: any credits that have been used to generate AI-assisted analysis (chart casting, personality reading, chat questions, house deep-dives, context writeups, remedies) cannot be refunded because we have already incurred the cost of running those AI queries.
  • Requests after 7 days: refund requests made more than 7 days after purchase will not be entertained, regardless of consumption status.
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with AI output: if you find an AI-generated reading unhelpful, inaccurate, or not to your taste, this is not grounds for refund. We clearly label all AI-generated content and do not guarantee specific predictions or outcomes.
  • Astrological predictions not materializing: readings are for entertainment and self-reflection, not guaranteed forecasts. We cannot refund based on "the reading didn't come true."
  • Account violations: refunds are denied for accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations (abuse, fraudulent charges, bot activity).

3. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email support@astrogully.com from the email address associated with your AstroGully account.
  2. Subject line: "Refund Request – [Order Date]"
  3. Include in the email:
    • Your account email
    • Approximate date and amount of purchase (₹49, ₹149, or ₹499)
    • Razorpay payment ID if available (starts with pay_)
    • Reason for refund request

4. Processing Time

We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Razorpay to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the actual credit may take 7-10 additional business days to reflect.

5. Cancellation

AstroGully operates on a pay-as-you-go credit model; there is no recurring subscription to cancel. If you wish to delete your account entirely, email us with the request. Account deletion is separate from a refund request; deleting an account does not automatically refund unconsumed credits — refunds must be explicitly requested first.

6. Grievance Redressal

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate by email explaining why. We will review each escalation individually. As a sole proprietor, the proprietor is personally responsible for resolving customer disputes.

For further recourse, Indian consumers may approach the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
